Chief Executive Officer, RIN

Qualification

MBA in Finance is desirable, but not a must if the candidate possesses experience in the investment sector

Experience (Years / Nature)

7-8 years, age of around 30.

Knowledge

Knowledge of rural markets, venture capital, private equity

Skills

Deal scourcing, appraisals of business plans, valuation, syndication, people management skills

 Demonstrate entrepreneurial competencies 

KRAs

·         Setting up the Fund – analyzing the market, developing the business plan

·         Fund Raising – for the fund and incubatees

·         Investing – investing in incubatees

Activities

Pilot investing through RIN

-          Advise team members in developing business plans for incubatees

-          Structure and make seed and angel investments - for incubates or other investees

-          Review the investments

-          Advise the team members in refining incubatee business plan

-          Support team members in raising early stage growth funds for investee incubatees from among other social investors – in areas such as valuation, negotiations with investors, deal structuring

Market research and Business Planning

-          Study and Evaluate the seed and angel funds market, define the weaknesses in capital needs and opportunities (pain points for investees) and recommend funding approaches/products

-          Decide whether RIN needs to set up a new funds or whether we can partner with an existing fund

-          Establish legal entity OR build partnership with another investor

-          Develop a business plan and memorandum for the proposed fund

Fund Raising

-          raise funds from donors/foundations and HNI committed to innovation and social enterprises

Investing

-          Review business plans

-          Structure and make seed and angel investments

-          Review the investments

-          Hand-hold the entrepreneur to raise early stage growth fund by refining the business plan, valuations, negotiations with investors, deal structuring

Marketing

-          Define the name the fund and the brand identity

-          Build the RIAF brand among the various stake-holders through well defined communication and networking programmes

Administration

-          Meet all statutory compliances

Board

-          Organise quarterly board meetings and provide monthly updates
