Job Objective

·         To Identify of Potential marketing services which are Innovative, affordable and effective creating broader impacts in rural areas.

·         To test the marketing services to understand the local / rural suitability in terms of cost, utility, local acceptance and other set parameters for each products and services.

·         Scientific documentation of testing of the marketing service which will lead to the addition / rejection of project to the Samruddhi.

·         To establish Win – Win relationship among Rural clients, Samruddhi and service provider.

Reporting to

Manager (New Products ) , UCID

Reporting from

·         Direct reporting from field & Vendors.

·         Work in field in association with SSO, SA, VLE and Lead farmers.

Qualification

BSc ( Agriculture ) with MBA

Experience (Years / Nature)

Fresher or one – two yrs experienced in Irrigation companies, Enterprise / R&D / NGO understanding complexities of rural people

Activities

  • Synthesis experiences on successful and innovative marketing models around the country.
  • Test various models and collate a model that suites to micro-level situation of Samruddhi stores.
  • Identify store wise potential crops for collective marketing through village marketing centers at the premises of VLE or under the supervision of VLE.
  • Creation of database of companies / traders for marketing the products.
  • Creating Samruddhi platform to strengthen the Village Marketing Centers (supervised or managed by VLE's). The crops will be Maize, Banana, Turmeric, paddy, Ground nut and others)
  • To explore potential functional (organic) linkages with various agencies, stakeholders working for collective marketing in the District.
  • Build the capacities of VLE to be a productive stakeholder in the marketing chain.
  • Ensure process documentation of the output, outcome and Impact for policy advocacy and organizational learnings
  • Facilitating MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between Samruddhi and Marketing partner.

Outcomes

  • No. of innovative marketing strategies tested and demonstrated  successfully
  • Marketing of agricultural commodities using the innovative marketing systems such as SNX or Commodity trading platform or contract / Cooperative farming activities.
  • No. of crop based supply chains formed / facilitated successfully
