Job Objective

·         To Identify Farm tools related innovative products which are affordable and effective in creating broader impacts in rural areas.

·         To support the testing team to test the products to understand the local / rural suitability in terms of cost, utility, local acceptance and other set parameters for each products and services.

·         Scientific documentation of testing of the products, which will lead to the addition / rejection of project to the Samruddhi product portfolio and also lead to the scouting products of similar nature.

·         To establish Win – Win relationship with the suppliers of the successful innovative products to be marketed through Samruddhi stores 

Reporting to

Manager (New Products ) , UCID

Reporting from

·         Direct reporting from field & Vendors.

·         Work in field in association with SSO, SA, VLE and Lead farmers.

Qualification

BE (Agriculture Engineering) with MBA or  Mechanical Engineering with MBA

Experience (Years / Nature)

Fresher or one – two yrs experience in Irrigation companies, Enterprise / R&D / NGO with an understanding complexities of rural people

Activities

  • Systematic scouting of new products related to Farm tools and machineries
  • Supporting testing team in trial design and preparing templates for data entries and consolidation.  
  • No. of innovative products / services launched at the stores regarding Farm tools & machineries.
  • Facilitating MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between Vendor and Samruddhi.
  • Time taken from min stock position at store to replenish stock.
  • Credit terms obtained from the Vendor regarding the marketing of the products
  • Trade discounts, Cash discounts, Promotion payments received from the Vendor.
  • Train SSO, SA and VLE on Farm tools and Machineries.
  • To design marketing model (Rent model and other designs) in association with A.M (Marketing) for required tools and machineries.

Outcomes

·         High degree of contribution towards self sustainability of stores through farm tools and Machineries.
