Designation: Associate - Business Incubation

Location: Chennai

Job Objective: To incubate innovations with focus on business feasibility

Reporting to: Head – Operations

Qualification: Rural MBA + Engineering/Agriculture (desirable)

Experience (Years / Nature):

2-3 years

+  Launch of new products in rural markets

+ Evaluating business proposals/business plans

 (or) As an entrepreneur / building new businesses

Knowledge: Product design, Product management, Project management, Technical evaluation, Rural markets

Skills: Market Research, Writing business plans, Coaching/Mentoring

·         Good (verbal and written) communication skills – Fluency in English, Tamil & Hindi

KRAs / Activities:

·         Incubation selection support

-          Providing market related information

-          Making business feasibility case for the product

·         Incubation support

-          Effective Incubation planning and scheduling

-          Ensure market research is conducted for product feasibility

-          Making Business plans

-          Mentor Innovators and motivate them to stay committed to the process

-          Assist with identifying and recommend to the innovator appropriate trade fairs/exhibitions to market the product

-          Escalate to Head – Operations when the innovator does not follow schedule consistently

·         Testing support

-          Conduct market research on ideal location for testing

-          Undertake field testing and trials

-          Plan and facilitate test marketing

·         Incubation exit support

-          Define and facilitating LRAMPs exit point

-          Facilitating technology transfers (if necessary)

·         Internal support

-          Ensure that the required marketing and communication materials are provided to Associate - M&C when requested

-          Facilitate the creation of publicity material (photographs, biography etc) for each innovation for LRAMP

-          To develop an effective liaison with the technical support team

-          Contribute to selection of innovators for recognition/awards
