Designation: Assistant Manager – Field Testing and Trials

Reporting To: Head - IPS

Location: Gobichettipalayam

Job Objective: To undertake field testing and trials of a portfolio of “innovative” products and services

Key Result Areas:

1. “Number” of innovative products/services tested
2. “Quality” of analysis and documentation
3. “Participation” of customers in the testing process 

Job Description: The following are the key activities to be undertaken as part of the job

1. Design a testing methodology to test and trial new and innovative products
2. Enable a network of adopter farmers – both among the rich and poor farmers. The field tests will be organized in the fields of these risk taking farmers
3. Document the results of the tests systematically
4. Provide recommendations to Head-IPS to include/eliminate the product from Samruddhi portfolio, based on results of tests undertaken
5. Train VLEs, SAs and SSO on the technical aspects of the products and its sales strategy
6. Support in product promotion programmes
7. Manage a team of field based FTOs

Job Requirements:

Education – BSc-Agri is mandatory

Experience – 1-2 years in any specific R&D based organizations, age of max 25 years

Knowledge – good understanding of agriculture and related rural issues

Skills – strong articulation in English and Tamil, possess team playing skills

Attitude – should be a positive personality and should exhibit energy and enthusiasm, have integrity

Should possess 2 wheeler and mobile phone or be willing to buy them immediately
