BASIX is a new-generation, livelihood promotion institution established in 1996, working with over 190,000 poor households in 44 districts and eight states. Its mission is to promote a large number of sustainable livelihoods, including for the rural poor and women, through the provision of financial services and technical assistance in an integrated manner. As part of the Innovation to Market Programme, RIN has initiated pilot projects in Nizamabad, in association with Basix. to prove the salability and financial viability of selling innovative products.
